Lufthansa A320 landing in high winds… Yikes!

Delivery Day

mercedes_08cclasssedan_angularfront_regular.jpgThe C-Class - the new addition to the family. At 11 yesterday morning I cleaned out the X5 for the last time before I delivered it to the Mercedes dealership and they delivered my new C-Class to me.

The weather - for the first time in months - was glorious. From too much snow to a high of almost +20C! And yes, that’s ABOVE zero, not below! The snow was melting as if someone was holding a blow torch to it, which caused the storm drains to work overtime, but the sun was out and there was even a hint of spring in the air.

An update to follow with my first impressions of the newbie.

This shot of the WHOI emblem was taken at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute on Cape Cod in October 2004 when I drove down to Massachusetts with Steph for a few days.  The Cape is one of our favourite places to visit, but during off-season, preferably in early spring or fall.

When we visited there was a large exhibit of the discovery of Titanic, and Robert Ballard’s photographs, etc., including shots of him, and his crew, as they left WHOI to set out on their search for the sunken liner.  If you haven’t read Ballard’s book on Titanic, it’s definitely worth reading.
