Winter… Part 2
March 24, 2008 — britishgingerMarch 24th and it snowed (lightly) overnight, adding to the snow still on the ground from our blizzard two weeks ago.
My cat is eyeing a pair of doves who are walking along the eavestrough, and I can see the wet snow falling onto them. The roof across the street is white and the car is covered in the stuff, too. It’s all made worse by the fact that my coffee tastes terrible this morning, and the CKTB radio announcer just reported that we can expect “possible accumulation” tomorrow, “heavy at times.”
Damn you, Tim Denis!!!
Give me rain instead. I wasn’t cut out for cold, snow, and ice. I come from a rainy country, I don’t mind damp weather, nor do I object to toting umbrellas. Let me wear Wellies instead of Kodiaks.
The only solace this morning is that I see we’re not the worst off - Sudbury is sitting at -20.
