DLO Jam Jacket for iPod Touch

This is the DLO (Digital Lifestyle Outfitters) Jam Jacket with Cord Management for the iPod Touch. I purchased it yesterday at Best Buy (my favourite electronics store) because I carry the iPod in my purse and wanted some sort of protection for it.

After reading reviews of iPod cases at the Apple site, I headed out to both Future Shop and Best Buy to take a look. There were quite a few to choose from. I finally decided on the Jam Jacket because it has a comfortable grip around the perimeter of the iPod, came with a shield protector, and cord management.

(I liked some of the leather cases, but most didn’t have any protection for the iPod screen. I didn’t care much for the one-piece clear plastic case that snapped on to one side of the iPod, only to protect the shiny metal back. The front had no protection at all.)

This is where the Jam Jacket is different:  It’s a silicone slide-on “rubbery” case that fits the iPod Touch perfectly.  It also comes with the clear Surface Shield protection film, but most importantly, it has the “cord management” feature on the reverse side and, like this photo illustrates, does a fabulous job of keeping the earbuds and cord intact neatly and effectively.  In the past, I’ve always had to loop the cord around the waist of an iPod and “tuck in” the earbuds so that the cord didn’t unravel.  Who needs that??  Now, my iPod’s earbuds and cord are looped around the Jam Jacket and looks exactly like the image above. This product really does live up to its name.

I definitely give this DLO Jam Jacket a 10 out of 10.
